Is the unit patch with the yellow shield with the black slash and the horse head 1st or 7th Cav?
I’ve been looking around for what unit this patch goes to and I’ve found both 1st Cavalry and 7th Cavalry. Which is the official unit??
1st
The 7th is a regiment, which is smaller than a Division (the 1st Cavalry Division).
However, there are different parts of the 7th attached to different units (there is a part of the 7th attached to the 2nd ID in Korea, and another part with the 3rd ID in Iraq)
